A middle-aged woman having sex with teen-aged boys is seen as a matter of harmless eccentricity. Were a middle-aged man doing the same thing with 15-year old girls, people would be calling for him to have his name on a sex offender registry, to spend most of his life in prison, and to be castrated or publicly whipped.
