Country Legend George Jones Blasts Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift

Country Music Hall of Famer George Jones isn’t fond of how pop-influenced the genre he loves has become in recent years.
The 78-year-old “Choices” crooner has some harsh words for some of country’s modern day big acts, like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, who Jones accuses of “stealing our identity.”
“They’re definitely not traditional country music. It’s good to know that we still do traditional country music. Alan Jackson still does it, so does George Strait. We still have it, and there’s quite a few of us that are going to hope that it comes back one of these days,” Jones remarked in an interview with The Associated Press Tuesday.

Taylor Swift is a fake country singer is true. She is not that talented. Without all the scandals with Kanye West, Joe Jonas & Taylor Launtner she would not be this recognized. Thou her songs are okay, her vocals are horrible and weak. And of course her music is more pop than country. I just do not like her.

George Jones has a right to voice his opinion when it comes to Carrie Underwood. She is not country ever since she came on the scene i’ve been listening to classic country music. Carrie Underwood has ruined most of country music and so has Kellie Pickler. You can thank your American Idol for that. I hope the traditional country music does come back someday.
