Conan O’Brien Banned From Newark Airport
Conan O’Brien may want to think twice before taking a jab at Newark, NJ again.
On The Tonight Show last week, Conan took a shot at New Jersey’s largest city, saying: “The Mayor of Newark, New Jersey wants to set up a citywide program to improve residents’ health. The health-care program would consist of a bus ticket out of Newark.”
“Try JFK, buddy.”
Well that didn’t go over very well with Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who took to YouTube on Tuesday to personally place the comic on the Newark International Airport “No-Fly List.”
In the one-minute-long YouTube address, the “angry” mayor defends his city, saying that Newark is “one of the fastest growing cities in the Northeast” and airs footage of Newark residents responding to Conan’s joke with “shock and anger.”
