Claire Danes is a Gucci girl. The high-end fashion house has tapped the star to replace fellow actress Drew Barrymore in the latest series of promotions for it’s fine jewelry line.

“Claire Danes is a modern icon,” Gucci creative director Frida Giannini said in a statement on Thursday. “For me she is one of the most interesting young actresses on the international scene. She is very natural, fresh, and has a carefree attitude which can also be seen in the roles she has chosen. Claire’s sensual, confident beauty and her passionate, independent and strong character embodies today’s Gucci woman.” For her part, Danes added, “I am thrilled and honored to be working with Gucci on their jewelry campaign. Frida is a very inspiring and creative woman. Her vision is extraordinary and I am excited to be a part of it.”
