It has been nearly a year since Whitney Houston died inside her hotel suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel during the Grammy weekend festivities.

Cissy, 79, has written a memoir, Remembering Whitney, in which she discusses Whitney’s drug use, her career and the night of her death. “I’m angry she died alone, in those conditions,” Cissy says. “I’m still mad about that.”

Mrs. Houston also discussed Whitney’s drug use saying, “She started partying and she didn’t really know how to stop,” says Cissy. “I used to wonder what she was doing at night, where she was.”

Cissy Houston gas also opened up to Oprah Winfrey for an episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter Series. The interview will air on OWN, January 28th at 9 pm/EST.
