Cindy McCain dreams of ballroom fancy footing on the small screen have been dashed by her husband, Arizona senator John McCain.

According to The NY Post, the former GOP candidate for president urged his heiress wife to turn down a spot on ABC’s dancing reality hit Dancing With The Stars.

“Just before Thanksgiving, Cindy McCain (above) started talks with producers to appear as a dancer on the show. She wanted to do it very badly.”

But alas, it was not to be.

Citing a “well-placed source,” the tabloid publication claims Sen. McCain “put the kibosh on” Mrs. McCain’s possible casting this week.
