Christina Applegate’s “Samantha Who?” Cancelled
ABC has pulled the plug on Samantha Who?
The half-hour comedy starring actress Christina Applegate won’t be back next season, according to Variety. The trade magazine claims ABC canned the show due to economic reasons. The network was reportedly looking to cut $500,000 per episode and had considered switching from a single camera format to using multiple cameras, says a spy.
Christina — who successfully battled cancer while working on the sitcom — was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for her role as Samantha in 2008.

The cast of this show really knew how to pull it together and ABC has fallen flat on their face with this decision.
I guess I'm left with the cable show, Drop Dead Diva, which brings laughter and a somber tone to the small screen.
I can only hope CBS or NBC picks up SW and lets the ball roll for a couple of more years. The cast deserves it!
