Surgical masks and long sequined gloves could soon become the hottest chic couture. Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier has confirmed recent whispers that he is collaborating on a new line of clothing with music legend Michael Jackson.

“It’s the merging of the King of Pop with the king of fashion. Something explosive is going to happen,” Christian tells People.

The collection will be sold exclusively at Hollywood boutique Kitson.

“Michael Jackson is an international pop icon who has had a huge following throughout his career. I think people will think it’s hip to wear his line. Through all his ups and downs people still love him. He still has a huge fan base,” says Kitson owner Fraser Ross.

Oh boy, this is a colossal flop just waiting to happen. Would anyone actually wear clothing designed by Michael Jackson?

It would be an honor to wear anything designed by MJ!! I only wish his line would be sold worldwide so I could get my hands on an item or two. Ed Hardy’s designs are edgy and so is Michael. Michael has been setting trends across the globe for years now, so it is only natural for him to design a clothing line. More power to him!

yes: Definitely. All his clothes were very stylish throughout his career since the off the wall years. I think his sense of fasion is not dead as much as his music. People all of a sudden forgot how cool his cloths are because of the accusation. The cloths will always be as famous as his music. Therefore, the clothing line will be successful.
