Proponents of the “Cast a Black Bachelor!” campaign will have to put their diversity ambitions aside for at least one more season: Chris Soules, a farmer from Arlington, Iowa, will star in the next edition of ABC’s long-running reality series The Bachelor, the network said Wednesday.
Franchise fans will remember Soules as one of the easy-on-the-eyes guys who vied for the affections of prosecuting attorney Andi Dorfman on The Bachelorette last season. Soules made it to the final three before being sent home ahead of the Final Rose ceremony.
A real heartbreaker, but Chris says told the cast of Good Morning America that he’s confident his quest to find love on TV will be sweeter the second time around.
Well, stranger things have happened.
