Actor Chris Pine — who shot to stardom this year with a starring role in the summer box office blockbuster Star Trek — has reportedly ended his brief romance with MTV reality personality Audrina Patridge after growing uncomfortable with the intense amount of media attention garnered by news of their relationship.

Chris and Audrina first prompted rumors that they were dating after they were spotted dining together in Los Angeles after first meeting at the ShoWest event in Las Vegas last month.

“Chris got freaked out by all the attention and pulled away,” a spywitness spills in the June 15 issue of Us Weekly. “He’s a shy guy and doesn’t want to be in the spotlight.”
