Chris Brown Under Fire Over “Beaten Woman” Tattoo: Did Breezy Ink Rihanna on Neck?
Chris Brown’s new tattoo bares an uncanny resemblance to a battered woman.
That’s interesting…especially when you consider that the controversial crooner was jailed for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna during that now infamous Grammys Eve brawl.
As we speak, there’s a debate brewing across the Twitterverse over whether or not the F.A.M.E. singer’s ghastly tattoo is a not-so clandestine portrait of RiRi after she was beaten black and blue at Chris hands three years ago. Some goss gawkers say the inking bares striking similarities to the Bajan songstress and features her unmistakable pout as well as a similar face shape.
A host of fans have taken to Twitter to express their disgust at the tattoo, but Chris insists the inking is not a depiction of his ex. A rep for the star explains:
“His tattoo is a sugar skull (associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics design he saw. It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported.”
Rihanna has made it clear that she’s forgiven her former flame for assaulting her — much to the chagrin of comic spitfire Joan Rivers. The exes even shared kissed at last week’s MTV Video Music Awards; although Chris kept his new tat under wraps as he clung on to Rihanna in a much-talked about embrace.
Rihanna opened up about her complex relationship with Brown with Oprah Winfrey last month, confirming that the she and Brown continue to have a “very close friendship.”
“I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help…I truly love him…We love each other and probably always will.”
