Chris Brown is accused of giving the paparazzi a heads-up about his recent reconciliation with his battered girlfriend Rihanna at Sean Combs’ gated estate on Star Island.

According to snitching spies, it was Chris who alerted roving photogs of the weekend reunion with the woman he was arrested for beating to a pulp on a dark Los Angeles road last month.

“Chris tipped off the photographers. He needs it to be out there that he and Rihanna are back together,” says a Page Six insider. “His only chance for a career was if she got back together with him, and he wanted people to see them there.”

Chris Brown is expected in a Los Angeles court on Thursday to face felony charges of making criminal threats in connection with last month’s brawl.
