Has the Web’s leading microblogging website come up with a motto yet? If not, we’d like to suggest this one: Twitter: Exposing Celebrities as Mindless Jellyfish…One Noodle Noggin at a Time.
Catchy, eh? It certainly seems to fit once warring exes Chris Brown and Rihanna.
Nope, hell hath not frozen over, but Breezy and RiRi are back on speaking terms.
On the Interwebs anyway.
Two years after Chris Brown severely assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna during an argument, the pair have reconnected on Twitter. On Friday, the “Rude Boy” hitmaker decided to follow Chris on Twitter, adding him to a select group of less than 400 people who she keeps in touch with on the social networking site. Just hours later, Chris logged into his Twitter account and followed Rihanna as well.
The move has sparked rumors that a reunion could be on the cards, or could even have already happened. Not so, says the Barbados-born beauty. Rihanna released heavily-accented furor on an suspecting Stan who cooly chided her for extending the very public olive branch to the bruising ex.
“Its [expletive] twitter, not the alter!” she Tweeted on Saturday. “Calm down.”
Rihanna, 23, had been prohibited from having contact with her first love until February, when she gave the OK for a judge to lift the restraining order against Brown. The relaxed conditions paved the way for Chris to drop in to industry-related events where Rihanna might also be in attendance. Outraged fans and anti-domestic violence activist, many of the same one who defended Rihanna at the height of the scandal just two years ago, spoke out against that move.
