Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton, 30, has gone from an awkward, fashion-challenged tween to a blushing bride-to-be before our very eyes.

The poised and cosmopolitan only child of two of the nation’s most noted politicos — Bill and Hillary Clinton — will tie the knot Saturday afternoon during a reported $6 wedding million ceremony at the recently-restored Astor Family Palace in the quaint hamlet of Rhinebeck, New York.

Her groom? Another kid of the political scene: Marc Mezvinsky. The future newlyweds have been friends since childhood and both earned degrees from Stanford University. Their relationship turned romantic in 2005, shortly after Chelsea’s split from Rhodes Scholar-turned-novelist Ian Klaus.

Marc and Chelsea announced their engagement in November.

Mezvinsky is the son of two former US representatives: Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky of Pennsylvania and Ed Mezvinsky of Iowa. His father was convicted of fraud in 2001 and served five years in a federal prison. He was released in 2008.

During an interview with American Idol host Ryan Seacrest in February, the former president revealed that Chelsea and Hillary were “having a good time” putting the finishing touches on the wedding and added that he thinks quite highly of Marc.

“My daughter is happy. I like and admire my future son-in-law, so I couldn’t be happier about it,” he said.
