Meet Hollywood’s newest celebrity mom: Oscar winner Charlize Theron has adopted a child.

“She is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson,” a rep for the Monster star said Wednesday.

Theron expressed her longing to become a mother in a chat with the August issue of Germany’s In Touch Weekly last August.

“I want a baby. If it would happen tomorrow I would be very happy. There are so many unwanted children on this Earth and it’s our job to care for them. And if we don’t, we’re doing the world a disservice.”

The South African-born stunner ended her nine year romance with actor Stuart Townsend in 2010.
