Americans still can’t get enough of “The Charlie Sheen Crazy Train!” The celebrity meltdown that has captured international headlines while captivating the nation has hordes of Midwesterners forking over fistfuls of cash to see the foolery live and in in living color. Sheen’s upcoming speaking tour sold-out in just 18 minutes after tickets went on-sale Saturday, prompting a celebatory Tweet from the kooky screen star and the vow to bring his show to even more US cities.
We’re still trying to decide whether this is a good thing or a bad thing….
The actor’s upcoming “Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option” stage shows are set for April 2 and April 3 in Detroit and Chicago respectively and the sell-out has reportedly set a record for ticket distributor Ticketmaster.com, The Detroit Free Press reports.
Charlie celebrated the ticket sell-out with an early Sunday morning Tweet to his over 1 million followers: “Fastball; Detroit/Chicago sold out in minutes… Thanks to Sheen’s Cadre..! #WINNING…”
Many details of the content of the shows, including any opening acts are still being developed, but the always gabby Charlie describes his inaugural stage appearance like this: “…Will there be surprises? Will there be guests? Will there be mayhem? Will you ask questions? Will you laugh? Will you scream? Will you know the truth? WILL THERE BE MORE?!?!
This IS where you will hear the REAL story from the Warlock. Bring it. I dare you to keep up with me…”
