Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford is in talks to replace Patrick Dempsey as the face of Versace’s Mens collection.

Chace sparked rumors that he will lend his image to the next round of Versace promotions after showing up to three high profile events- Fashion Rocks, the MTV Video Music Awards, and Blake Lively’s 21st birthday bash- in designs created by the fashion house.

“We have been working hard to develop our relationship with Chace – and that is all we can say on the subject,” a Versace spokesman said coyly late last week.

“Patrick Dempsey is contracted with us through Spring/Summer 2009. It is undetermined who will replace him at this time.”
