Celebrities Get All The Love – The Visa Black Card
The Visa Black Card comes with an Exclusive Rewards Program. Apply Now!
I feel inferior to people like Paris Hilton & Britney Spears. You know why, right? When the newly announced Visa Black Card launches, I am not going to be eligible to get one. Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus (when she turns 18), Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears will get one with no problem. Why? Because only the top 1% of the wealthiest US population is eligible for the card.
So while Barack Obama may be giving us middle class people a tax cut, and raising taxes on the top 1% – there is a consolation prize for those rich celebrities. Barclays is giving the top 1% (many of whom are celebrities) access to their custom carbon graphite credit card which should help make them feel special… and better than the rest of us.

The New Visa Black Card
BTW, what did Paris Hilton do to deserve the Visa Black Card? She was born. What did Britney Spears do to deserve the Visa Black Card? She had her voice polished off by a computer so that it wouldn’t break glass. Lindsay Lohan? She sniffed some cocaine.
Now that’s hot.
See if you’re one of the lucky few eligible for a VISA Black Card. Apply Now!

I guess when you’re marketing an exclusive credit card to the ultra-wealthy, it really doesn’t matter that so many banks are failing.
They all seem to have plenty of money spend.

This is a vary smart move by Barclay’s. Rather than slashing credit and raising rates on the high-risk lower and middle classes, it is targeting the much lower-risk top 1%, who value status and convenience over fees and rates. All-in-all it is good for everyone.
I don’t understand why the author of this article is so resentful of the wealthy. The top 10% of wage-earners pay 65% of tax revenue. The top 1% is paying more than ten times the federal income taxes than the bottom 50%!

Carl clearly read an article that I saw earlier about the card… none of that is his own opinion.

This is not even close to the uber exclusive American Express black card!
Visa is just trying to cash in on their success. Come on Visa be original or at least match the benefits of a real black card.
Visa will give this card to anyone with the right credit score and $500 to waist. On the other hand American Express back card requires you to spend $250,00 per year on the card and pay $7,500 for the first year in fees.

I am not only curious about what criteria are used to determine who will be the 1%, but even more so, how perspective members are found, for promotion by mail. I have a high credit rating and several credit and charge cards,in good standing,(with much better deals than this one), and I was not solicited for this Black Card. However, my late husband received a large, black envelope, with an application to apply. He’s been dead for 7 years and is listed as deceased with all matters of credit and banking. I thought it was a funny coincidence, for a deceased person to receive an ad for a BLACK card, in this funereal design, and when I saw that it’s only for 1%, I wondered if one of the criteria is being deceased? lol But seriously, it shows poor research technique, in marketing.
