Green — who’s up for a Song of the Year Grammy for his 2010 smash “Forget You” — is collaborating with the five-time Grammy winner, who staged a musical comeback with a raved-about concert in Brazil earlier this month.
We don’t know many deets about this alleged duet just yet, but The Daily Star chatted with an anonymous source, who reveals that Winehouse, 27, flew to St Lucia last week to join Cee-Lo in the studio. The pair clicked almost instantly.
“She and Cee Lo just clicked and he said he wouldn’t leave the island until the track was done. Amy’s album is entirely finished, so it’s just a case of the record company deciding when to release it,” says a tipster.
And the insider wants fans to stop worrying about witnessing more Winehouse trainwreck moments, telling the paper the singer is no longer smoking and sniffing The Good Shit and the jazzy voice popularized on tracks like “Back to Black” and “Valerie” is “as good as ever.”
“She might look frail when you see her but don’t be deceived, the voice is still there.”
