It’s not a happy dance morning for actress Zooey Deschanel.
The New Girl star filed for divorce yesterday from her singer hubby, Ben Gibbard. The pair had officially separated two months ago but Deschanel is taking the next step in ending their 2-year marriage. Zooey had recently declined to comment on the marriage ending saying only People Magazine, “We’re friendly. It’s all fine.”
The official paperwork, which was filed on December 27th, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Deschanel also requested that Gibbard’s right to spousal support be terminated. According to the documentation filed, Zooey brought in around $95,000/per month during their marriage.
