Has Scrubs finally flat-lined? According to series star Zach Braff, after nine seasons and two networks, the long-running spoof medical comedy is a goner.
Braff says the ABC series won’t return for a tenth season next fall: “Many of you have asked, so here it is: It appears that ‘New Scrubs,’ ‘Scrubs 2.0,’ ‘Scrubs with new kids,’ ‘Scrubbier,’ ‘Scrubs without JD’ is no more. It was worth a try, but alas … it didn’t work. zb…..” Zach announced on his Facebook page this week.

You’re nobody till somebody kills you..on the Internet. Yeah — so Zach Braff is sooo not laughing at yesterday’s death hoax that erupted on social media hubs like Facebook and Twitter.
On Monday, an online report emerged, claiming that the Garden State star had taken his own life. The death rumors began circulating after this “breaking news story” in a fake CNN.com template popped up on Twitter. Braff’s fake death announcement caused quite a stir on the microblogging website, where it remained a trending topic for the duration of the day.

Zack Braff is ready to hang up his Scrubs. The upcoming season will be the actor’s last as John “J.D.” Dorian on the ABC medical comedy, says the series’ creator.
“The end of the show will be about J.D. (Braff’s character) leaving the hospital,” Scrubs creator Bill Lawerence said Wednesday.
