Nicole Kidman has suddenly exited the cast of Woody Allen’s next movie, set to star Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Brolin, Naomi Watts, and Freida Pinto, Variety has learned.

No reason has been given for Nicole’s departure from the film, which was slated to begin filming this summer in London.

Freida Pinto has been cast in a film from a legendary Hollywood director on the heels of her breakout performance in the Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire.

According to Variety, the 24-year-old Indian-born beauty will join Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins, and Josh Brolin in an upcoming untitled project from filmmaker Woody Allen.

Golden Globe-nominated actress Scarlett Johansson has starred in Match Point, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and Snoop, each directed by Woody Allen, and movie set spies say Woody is wild about Scarlett’s signature key lime pies.

According to Star Magazine:

“Scarlett makes them from scratch. Woody doesn’t eat much, but he loves her pies. He’s always after her to bring him another one.”

The insider adds, “As long as he is giving her great roles, I’m sure she has no problem doing it.”
