Nippy’s back! On Thursday, Whitney Houston released the first single off of her eagerly-awaited comeback LP, I Look To You.
After more than a decade of drug abuse and scandal, the powerhouse sings about recovery and redemption on the ballad “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.” Obviously, years of hitting the crack pipe has added a bit of raspiness to Whitney’s once flawless voice. Nevertheless, we love the lyrics and that’s enough to get a thumbs up from us.
Whitney Houston will release her long-awaited comeback album on September 1, 2009 — and the effort finally has a name. Whitney’s new album will be titled I Look To You, the pop diva has announced on her website Thursday.
The release will be the first in seven years for the 45-year-old singer, who unveiled Just Whitney in 2002.

Producers of the British reality series Celebrity Big Brother are in discussions to cast powerhouse diva Whitney Houston, 45, as a star housemate on the Channel 4 smash hit next year.
“We’re aiming high for the new series,” a source tells the Daily Mail. “We want top-notch stars no Z-listers. We’ll be back with a bang in 2009.”
