One of the very popular stars of Desperate Housewives, Eva Longoria, is set to be married next year in France to her fiancé Tony Parker. Eva’s publicist, says that Tony proposed to Eva last Wednesday. For those who do not know (which is quite impossible I think!), Tony Parker plays guard for the San Antonio Spurs.
After their game Wednesday night, he flew to Los Angeles and popped the question to Eva at her home when she got off from work. What a sweet surprise for our Desperate Housewife! She told Ryan Seacrest, who by the way is a long time friend of the couple, that when she got home, Parker was there surrounded by candles and rose petals. Seems like many girls’ dream to me!
Though her role in the hit TV series is one of an unfulfilled housewife, it seems that this is not what the future has in store for her. The couple, always sweet and caring to each other seems to have a bright future ahead of them. They have been together since January 2005 and met some rough waters in September but quickly got back together.
Eva says her wedding is not going to follow the trend that many celebrity weddings have followed. Instead of a wedding covered by secrecy, she wants one that is “huge and beautiful” and says that she just can’t wait. To be honest, I would say the same thing if I were getting married to that basketball star of hers!
Actress Amanda Peet and screenwriter David Benioff were married in New York City on Saturday evening, PEOPLE has learned.
The bride and groom exchanged vows in a ceremony held at the actress’s alma mater, Friends Seminary, a Quaker school founded in 1786.
Among the guests at the event were actor Mark Ruffalo and his wife Sunrise, actress Elizabeth Berkley and her artist husband Greg Lauren.

According to insider sources Amanda Peet wished me good luck and was sorry that our chance bumping (into) one another a few years back lasted so briefly. Her husband had no further comment.

Britney Spears is reportedly making plans for a ceremony to renew her vows to Kevin Federline. The couple’s first ceremony was very small and somewhat rushed, but this next ceremony will most likely be more of a public spectacle.
Britney apparently mentioned that “she wants to show the world that she is happily married,” amid constant divorce rumors and media scrutiny of the marriage. We can expect this ceremony sometime after the birth of their second child in October.
Would I want to be married to Kfed? Heck no. But someone’s gotta love the guy and I think she truly does. So I have to hand it to Britney… emotional, country and maybe with sometimes faltering judgement, yes…. but she’s not letting the press’s idea of what she should do dictate her life.

I can never tell whether Pamela Anderson is trying to be funny or when she’s genuinely making an idiot of herself. For instance, when asked how she was going to deal with wedding day jitters, she answered, “I have two words for you: champagne.”
Now I would assume that she was trying to be funny there, but wait. This is coming from the same woman who reportedly announced at a recent press conference, “”I’m going to get married a few times this month to the same guy.” The first of all these ceremonies is reportedly planned for this Saturday in St. Tropez, France. Later, according to Andersen, “”We had to do Malibu, we’ve got to do Detroit, and we’ve got to do Nashville.”
Ok… how’s that going to work? Isn’t the point of saying the vows to make some kind of permanent gesture?
When glamour queens marry country kings, the world wants to know. So when Nicole and Keith wanted a bit of peace to prepare for their wedding (just around the corner!) they had to do something. The choice of these international sex symbols? Send the nosey photojournalists some nice beer and a note that doesn’t actually say, “Would you just piss off?” They are much nicer than me, but then again, Keith is a good ole boy, or the Aussie equivilent. Maybe he just wants to make them his friends!
