Vanessa Hudgens is returning to high school — but this time she’s trading in her role as East High’s golden girl, Gabriella Montez, for a part as a social misfit in Bandslam, in theaters Friday.

Vanessa Hudgens has admitted that some of her younger fans have made her hesitant about having children of her own.
“All this exposure to young children does put me off having them,” The 20-year-old actress, who played Gabriella Montez in Disney’s hit High School Musical franchise, joked to The Mirror on Sunday.
“I love kids, don’t get me wrong, because without them I wouldn’t be where I am today, but they do follow me around to the most peculiar places,” Vanessa added.
“And they’re very loud! When they start screaming it’s sweet to see how enthusiastic they are, but I’m going to go deaf sooner than most people. It’s impossible to calm them down when they start, I just cover my ears.”
Vanessa Hudgens has become very protective of her private life since images of her hairy miff made their way onto the interwebs in 2007.
In an interview with the July 26 edition of Parade, High School Musical’s Gabriella Montez says: “That’s why I’m extremely guarded. I really do try to watch everything I say. Because one little tiny slip, and it’s like the world is coming to an end.”
She adds, “It is hard. I do always have a wall up. But I feel by doing it, I keep myself safe.” Read the rest of this entry »
