Usher went diva during a recent taping for his performance on Tuesday night’s Season Finale of Dancing with the Stars 5. The “Love In This Club” star, whose fifth album “Here I Stand” hits stores next Tuesday, May 27th, arrived late, sluggishly performed his dance routine, and took long-winded “water” breaks during the shoot; although show producers had only fifteen minutes to get Usher’s performance taped and ready to roll.

The cast (well, most of it, anyway) wrapped up the season with a “Live From The Hills Season Finale” Party in Beverly Hills, featuring a performance by Usher. Usher will perform on the May 20th Season Finale of Dancing With The Stars 5. The newlywed dad is preparing for the May 27th release of his new album, Here I Stand. Tune in to DWTS for a pair of performances by Ush as a new Dancing champion is crowned.

Usher made his much anticipated stage debut this week in the Broadway musical Chicago. Usher plays the singing shyster lawyer Billy Flynn and drew some famous guests to come watch the opening performance such as Penelope Cruz, Gabrielle Union, Haylie Duff (who also performs on Broadway), Rosie Perez and singer Amerie.

People magazine caught up with the 27 year old star at the celebratory after-party and Usher had this to say about his Broadway experience: “Broadway is like a monogamous relationship. Doing anything else, like acting in Hollywood – which is great – it’s like a one-night stand. You do it and then you keep moving.”

Okay, so from that comment alone it’s hard to tell what Usher really thinks about his new Broadway gig- or relationships and monogamy for that matter. For a guy who sings a lot about confessing to his girlfriend he got somebody else pregnant and ‘letting it burn’ it would be interesting to know what he’s passionate about nowadays- and if a weird comparison like that means the whole ‘commitment’ thing might spread into his personal life???

Seeking new ‘Boo’ for the long haul? We’ll see.
