Rebecca Romijn is leaving Ugly Betty. The actress, who has portrayed male-to-female transsexual Alex/Alexis Meade since Season One, has decided not to return for a third season on the Golden Globe Award-winning series due to frustration with the show’s writers. Naomi Campbell will appear on the season finale of Ugly Betty next month. (Cell phones, Blackberries, and other small items that may fashioned into airborne weapons will be temporarily banned from the set.) The hot-tempered thirty-seven year old supermodel will portray herself on the series’ second season wrap-up, ABC confirmed on Wednesday.

“She’s going to be in our last episode, which is exciting,” actress Becki Newton, who plays Mode Magazine receptionist Amanda Summers on Betty, told The Associated Press. “I’ve personally requested that I don’t stand next to her because Amanda would not like to be seen with such a tall, pretty person.”

Project Runway judge Nina Garcia and Season 4 winner Christian Siriano will hit up an episode of Ugly Betty this May. Nina and Christian will film scenes next month for an appearance scheduled to air during May sweeps.

Christian Siriano will make a cameo appearance as himself on a new episode of Ugly Betty, the Project Runway 4 designing champion told reporters during a luncheon at L.A’s Roosevelt Hotel on Thursday. “It’s fierce. I love it all,” he said. “Some woman just asked me to make her wedding dress. I took one look at her ring and was like, ‘Let’s go, girl!’”
