Gaga already hosted the extension of the network’s successful NewNowNext brand in 2008, and the quirky charttopper will return to the pop music hour next week to promote her forthcoming album, The Fame Monster — in stores Monday.

“Singer-songwriter Lady GaGa has become a pop culture sensation over the past year and has returned back to Logo where she first emerged as a pop culture trendsetter,” the network, who caters to programming for the gay-lesbian community, said in a release last week. “Lady Gaga had her first television appearance on Logo’s 2008 NewNowNext Awards where she performed her addictive debut single “Just Dance” and was nominated for the ArjanWrites.com: Brink of Fame: Song award. Her distinct look, sound and persona hinted at her emerging superstar status, and thus a perfect fit for the NewNowNext brand. With hits including “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “LoveGame” and “Paparazzi”, Lady Gaga returns with a brand new video titled “Bad Romance” off her new album titled “The Fame Monster.” “The Fame Monster” will hit stores November 23.”

Monday’s NewNowNext PopLab will also feature an appearance by RuPaul’s Drag Race season one winner, Bebe Zahara Benet, who will premiere her new music video, “I’m the Shit.”

Lady Gaga comes to NewNowNext PopLab this Monday@ 7PM on Logo. Other hosts of the program have included Kelly Clarkson, Nicole Scherzinger, and Keri Hilson.

Cougar Town — airing Wednesday nights @ 9PM — has been a freshman success for The Alphabet Network and the former Friends actress. The nature of the issue was not explained.

“We can confirm production on ‘Cougar Town’ has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter,” a rep for ABC said in a press statement over the weekend.

GLOBE claims Shannen Doherty is marketing a new reality series based on her life. Sadly for her, no one wants it…..

In 1994, the notorious bad girl was famously booted from her role as aspiring actress Brenda Walsh during the fourth season of the original Beverly Hills, 90210. The move came after legendary producer Aaron Spelling became fed up with Shannen’s persistent tardiness and violent feuds with castmates — but it’s never too late to turn over a new leaf. Shannen wants to prove she’s done just that on an unscripted show, currently in development, that will show off the “lighter and funnier side” of the actress, industry insiders told GLOBE this week.

The former star of shows like Charmed and Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty has already begun shopping footage of the still-untitled series, which she also produces. So far, there’ve been no takers.

Unfortunately for the new and improved S.D., now 38, industry execs predict that almost any project with her name attached may prove a “tough sell.” In fact, it’s becoming increasingly unlikely that Shannen Unscripted will ever see the light of day, GLOBE claims. You see in addition to routinely showing up late to work, Shannen also has a history of throwing backstage tantrums that would make your hair stand on end. Experts say, the baddie comes with more baggage than reality hubs like E! and Bravo are willing to contend with.

These days, you can catch Shannen making sporadic guest appearances as Brenda on The CW’s 90210 remakng.

“I love this show, this show has been my life,” she said, tears in her eyes. “I love it enough to know when to say goodbye. Twenty five years feels right in my bones and it feels right in my spirit. It’s the perfect number, the exact right time.”

News of Oprah’s departure first broke Thursday evening.

The president of Winfrey’s production company, Harpo, announced in an e-mail that the star would be saying good-bye to daytime.

“I want you all to know that my relationship with you is one I hold very dear,” she said. “And your trust in me and your sharing of your precious time has brought me the greatest joy I have ever known.”

Earlier this month, Winfrey confirmed that she was moving forward with her long-delayed Oprah Winfrey Network, but she’s still giving the show that made her an icon quite a send-off. In Season 25, “we are going to knock your socks off,” she said. “The countdown to the end of `The Oprah Winfrey Show’ starts now.”

On Scream Queens 2, 10 aspiring actresses will compete for a role in Saw 3D, the next movie in Lionsgate’s annual Halloween-released slasher franchise.

Season 2 will debut early next year with with actress Jamie King serving as host and judge along with director Tim Sullivan and acting coach John Homa.

TLC has ordered 12 episodes of Mall Cops: Mall Of America, a new show based on a special that aired last month on the network last month and pulled in 1.2 million viewers. The concept is reminiscent of this year’s hit movie, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, a comedy starring Kevin James as a pudgy, Segway-riding mall security guard who collars gang of crooks and wins the girl of his dreams.

The half-hour show will premierre early next year and will revolve around the security guards patrolling The Mall of America, the country’s largest in Bloomington, Minn. The 500-store mall includes a seven-acre theme park, a ginormous aquarium, and a wedding chapel.

“Everybody can relate to a shopping mall, and The Mall of America is its own little city,” says Nancy Daniels, TLC’s senior VP production and development.

“Policing the mall gives you interesting insights into people,” Daniels explains. “We have a handful of mall cops we’ll follow, and you won’t always see the same ones in every episode,” she says. “We follow them in their shifts — the calls they go on range from small petty items all the way up to life-and-death [situations].”

Harpo Productions has confirmed that The Queen of Talk has decided to end the groundbreaking Oprah Winfrey Show she has helmed since 1985. Oprah began her broadcasting career in Nashville, Tenn., and Baltimore, Md., before relocating to Chicago in 1984 to host WLS-TV’s morning talk show A.M. Chicago. The show was renamed The Oprah Winfrey Show the next year and was nationally-syndicated by 1986.

Oprah will announce news of her departure on Friday. The final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show is scheduled to air in 2011.

“Tomorrow, Oprah will announce live on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ that she has decided to end what is arguably one of the most popular, influential and enduring programs in television history,” Tim Bennett, the President of Harpo, announced in a letter released to ABC affiliates on Thursday. ” The sun will set on the ‘Oprah’ show as its 25th season draws to a close on September 9, 2011.”

Bennett said he was sending out the letter to keep the affiliates from being surprised at tomorrow’s announcement. And he urged the stations to “share this news this evening with your colleagues and viewers.”

“Before she speaks to her loyal viewers, we wanted to share her decision first with you – our valued partners for more than two decades,” he wrote. “Oprah’s personal comments about this on tomorrow’s live show will mark a historic television moment that we will all be talking about for years to come.”

What will you miss most about Oprah?

The hit series, starring Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway, and Evangeline Lilly, will return with a special all-night event on Tuesday, Feb. 2, the network said this afternoon. Lost will premiere with a two-hour special event, following a recap episode @ 8PM. The following week, the series will begin airing in its new timeslot: Tuesday nights @ 9PM on ABC.
