TV Guide Magazine will publish a special collector’s edition this week dedicated to Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, both of whom tragically passed away last Thursday.

The new issue, which arrives on newsstands this Thursday, July 2, will feature exclusive interviews with famous friends of both entertainers, a chat with Farrah’s former Charlie’s Angels co-stars Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd, and a special look into the making of “Thriller.”

Actress Jessica Biel quashed rumors that she was initially taken aback by the sexually suggestive choreography that accompanies the single “Love Sex Magic” by introducing her boyfriend, crooner Justin Timberlake, and R&B star Ciara as the pair performed the duet on NBC’s Saturday Night Live May 9.

On Wednesday (Ironically, the same day Runway won the OK to head over to the Lifetime Network), Bravo unveiled plans for a new design series, The Fashion Show. This spring, fifteen professional designers will compete on the network’s new fashion competition series for a shot at introducing their original creations to the world and winning a $125,000 prize.

Harper’s Bazaar has signed on as the official magazine partner for the series, but how will things work?

Each week the designers will be put to the test and will have to face off in two challenges – the Harper’s Bazaar Mini Challenge, judged by the magazine’s Special Projects Director Laura Brown, and the elimination challenge. In the end, America will choose which contestant will have a clothing line available for retail and win the $125,000 prize, Bravo said in a press release Wednesday.

Internationally acclaimed designer Isaac Mizrahi shares hosting duties with four-time Grammy Award-winning performer and actress Kelly Rowland. Mizrahi and Rowland will also serve as judges alongside fashion luminary and Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion, Fern Mallis.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker and The Mentalist’s Simon Baker have topped TV Guide’s annual poll of the sexiest stars on the small screen.

The Australia-born actor’s new title of TV Guide’s “Sexiest Male Actor” ends Patrick Dempsey’s two-year reign as the sexiest man on television.

Baker’s show The Mentalist became an instant hit when it debuted in 2008, but the actor’s wife still isn’t convinced she’s married to the sexiest guy on TV.

He explains, “My wife said to me this morning, ‘I could take a photo of you right now and they might take that title away from you.’”

Eva Longoria also has a hard time believing magazine bosses selected her as the hottest women in primetime, especially since her on-screen alter-ego Gabrielle Solis went from former model to mothering frumpy last season.

“I think the timing for this is pretty funny actually, but also really great,” the actress says. “I love that Gaby has been able to withstand time, along with the bad haircuts and all the extra pounds, and is still considered sexy.”

TV Guide’s decision to drop MTV and The CW from its listings is stirring up controversy online.

The mag has complete pulled listings for the networks from its print editions, citing “testing” reasons. However, an insider for the NY Daily News’ Gatecrasher column claims, “TV Guide is angry because MTV and CW won’t buy ads from them, and this is how they’re being taught a lesson.”
