Magazine moles spill that the Dallas Cowboys QB has spent the last week trying to give the blonde and her Bible-thumping pop the boot-to no avail. Jessica has refused to give up, a friend tells the celebrity weekly. On Jan. 17, Tony called Jessica at her L.A. home to try to break things off. “He said he thought it was better if they went back to being friends. ‘Just friends’ is not in Jessica’s vocabulary, and she is not a victim. She knows how bad this will look in the media.”

Despite recent rumors, Tony Romo will not be making a cameo appearance on Jessica Simpson’s upcoming country music LP. The singer’s rep, Lauren Auslander says: “There are no plans for them to do this.”

Notoriously clingy Jessica Simpson is bringing the claws out with BF Tony Romo’s ex-love, Carrie Underwood. Jess is so threatened by Carrie’s “goody two shoes” that the ditzy blonde has warned Grammy Award-winning country singer to “keep away from Romo!”
