Knight and Day — the new action flick from Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz — doesn’t hit theaters until next month, but producers are already working overtime to get us into one of the overpriced seats down at the local cinema to watch Cruise and Diaz kick some espionage ass. Check out this new clip of the big screen pair practicing for one of their stunts in the spy movie. Things start off innocently enough but quickly spiral out of control when Diaz gets a little too enthusiastic, which sends Tom flying over a crafts table!
Sure it’s staged — and I doubt it has the viral appeal of a Justin Bieber lookalike who plays the piano like Lady Gaga — but it’s still good for a few chuckles.
We never took TomKat for the theatrical pair. Nonetheless Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes performed “Whatever Lola Wants” — from the musical Damn Yankees — at A Fine Romance Benefit for The Motion Picture and Television Fund’s A Fine Romance Benefit in Los Angeles last Saturday night.
Reese Witherspoon and Tom Cruise are in chats to shine up their cowboy boots for Paper Wings, a romantic-drama about a rodeo star who falls in love with an aspiring country singer (we’ll leave it to you to figure out who plays who).
Tom’s up for a new mission: Tom Cruise is back for Mission: Impossible 4 - and not only will the actor star in it – he’ll produce it with J.J. Abrams, Deadline Hollywood reported Tuesday. Cruise has signed on to reprise the role of Ethan Hunt for the Paramount super spy feature that’s expected to begin production this summer for a Memorial Day 2011 release.
Star Trek director Abrams will produce the feature and Alias scribes Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec have been tapped to pen the script — although a director has not yet been attached to the project.
Tom next stars in the Summer 2010 action/romantic comedy Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz, opening July 2.
Suri Cruise is one of the most famous three-year-olds on the Planet, and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is on course to keep her name in lights for years to come by following in the footsteps of her Hollywood star parents — she has already started taking private acting lessons.
“Suri loves her dance classes so much that when she started asking her mom to act, Katie couldn’t say no,” a spy revealed to London’s Daily Mirror on Wednesday. “The idea to have lessons was Suri’s, although Tom has previously admitted he would be happy for his daughter to become an actress,” added the source.
Tom, 46, and Katie, 31, have spent over a million dollars on weekly French and Spanish lessons and regular tap-dancing classes for Suri in the past year, reports say.
