“Knight & Day” Release Date Pushed Forward To June 23

Great news for Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz fans — The release date for the duo’s summer action comedy Knight & Day has been moved up and will now be opening in theaters June 23 — two days earlier than originally planned.
Not surprising, considering Cruise has been basking in renewed popularity since his side-splitting appearance as Tropic Thunder alter ego Les Grossman during the MTV Movie Awards last weekend.
Les Grossman/Tom Cruise Jennifer Lopez Dancing [2010 MTV Movie Awards]

Tom Cruise delievered side-splitting laughs during this weekend’s 19th Annual MTV Movie Awards by appearing in character as his Tropic Thunder alter ego, Les Grossman. Dressed as a cloud, The Hangover’s Ed Helms sang his famous “Stu’s Song” while a tiger-leotard-clad Ken Jeong performed a hilarious ballet solo. Les spoiled the recital by booting both of them off the stage. But hilarity ensued when the profanity-spewing Hollywood producer burned up the stage dancing alongside singer/actress Jennifer Lopez to Ludacris’ “Get Back!”
Suri must be so proud.
Tom Cruise 2010 MTV Movie Awards Promo [Featuring Les Grossman & Joel Goodson]
Tom Cruise strips off the hair and strips down to his tighty-whities to resurrect two of his most familiar roles in a side-splitting new promo for this weekend’s 2010 MTV Movie Awards. The Xenu-enthusiast recreated the iconic dance scene (This time with pants…) featured in his 1983 teen comedy Risky Business and revived Les Grossman, the balding and bitter studio exec he played in the 2008 film Tropic Thunder for the commercial spot.
The 2010 MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Aziz Ansari, will broadcast live from Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 6 @ 9pm ET/PT.
Tom Cruise Esquire June 2010: “My Father Was Lost”

“I remember looking at my dad and wanting to understand him. I didn’t want to just write the guy off. He was lost. I can’t speak specifically in terms of why and how he got to where he was — that was his journey. All I can tell you is, he was overwhelmed by life… My mother basically did all the work, and then they got separated and I didn’t see him for a long time. He didn’t try to help the family financially or spiritually, and I lived with the effects of the chaos.”
Tom Cruise’s closeness to his mother Mary and his sisters is well-documented, but in a new interview with the June/July of Esquire Magazine, he opened up about his late father, Thomas Cruise Mapother III.
