Keep your eyes peeled to the Interwebs as pop sensations Lady Gaga and Beyonce unveil their fierce visual collabo “Video Phone” on all MTV international sites and VH1.com this Tuesday, Nov. 17, @ 12:01 AM/EST.
The “Poker Face” charttopper teams up with the R&B’s own “Sasha Fierce” in a stunning high-energy clip that marks the performers’ first partnership. This isn’t the only phone-centric tune the stars recorded together – Beyonce recently lended her vocals to “Telephone,” a new Lady GaGa song that will be included on the re-release of her debut album, The Fame, renamed The Fame Monster.

Hot off the presses: Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette” Music Video. The video accompanies the pop idol’s first single off her forthcoming fourth album, Rated R, available later this month.
Michael Jackson might also be getting the Cirque du Soleil treatment.
Though he is gone, the King of Pop lives on in his music and the Canadian-based performance group is “heavily courting” the late singer’s estate with an “astronomical” amount of money in hopes of creating a Las Vegas-style show based on Jackson’s timeless classics.
According to a scoop from Showbiz411, Cirque producers are confident that a Jackson-inspired production would have the same success as “Love,” the Beatles-themed show, which is currently heating up the Vegas strip at the Mirage Hotel & Casino.
Cirque du Soleil is currently hard at work on a show inspired by the King of Rock n’ Roll; “Viva Elvis” is scheduled to open at the ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas next month.
Carrie pulls a Kanye! Is Carrie Underwood feeling the effects of losing her “Country Girl It” status to a 19-year-old with a guitar? Some viewers are suggesting that Carrie purposely interrupted co-host Brad Paisley as he praised Taylor Swift at the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville on Wednesday.
FYI, Carrie lost the Best Female Vocalist prize to young champion Taylor earlier in the night.
Green Day’s American Idiot Musical seems bound for Broadway.
The critically-acclaimed punk rock opera is currently playing an extended world-premiere run at Rep’s Roda Theatre in Berkeley, CA, through Nov. 15, but an adaptation of the show is currently in pre-production for a debut on New York’s Great White Way. “There is a Broadway future for the show, but at this time no dates or theatre are confirmed,” spokesman Michael Hartman told Playbill.com on Nov. 9.
Janet Jackson will lead off this year’s American Music Awards with a “special opening performance,” following her tribute to brother Michael at the MTV Video Music Awards last August. Michael Jackson received five posthumous nominations for the upcoming ABC award show.
“We’re thrilled about having Janet Jackson open this year’s show,” American Music Awards producer Larry Klein said in a release. “She is an incredibly dynamic performer, and I think the audience will be excited to see what she has in store.”

Great news, Brits: Pop’s Bajan princess Rihanna is set to perform on the British talent show The X-Factor later this month. The “Disturbia” hitmaker will belt out her new single “Russian Roulette” from her forthcoming album, Rated R, on a program airing Nov. 22.
“I am beyond excited – it was the easiest decision I’ve ever made. A lot of people watch the show over here (in America) on YouTube and I personally caught a lot of it when Leona Lewis was on, who’s an amazing artist,” Rihanna said Wednesday. “So, to say yes to (show boss) Simon (Cowell) was an honor, especially as I know the show so well.”
Alexandra Burke and Cheryl Cole are also expected to perform on the results show. Meanwhile, Rihanna’s fourth studio album is slated for release the day after her X-Factor appearance.
Britney Spears says read my lips: it’s for the fans!
Brit has a message for critics of her first tour of Australia after it was reported that fans walked out of the pop star’s Australian performance last weekend, describing it as boring, stiff, and filled with lip-synching. “I hear there is a lot of controversy in the media about my show,” Spears said in a statement this week. “Some reporters have said they love it and some don’t. I came to Australia for my fans.”
Britney, 27, is rebuilding her career after a high profile meltdown in 2008.
They looked awfully chummy during their performance on the American Idol finale last May, but Adam Lambert and KISS rocker Gene Simmons are anything but these days, as the self-christened glam rock star and the “Hardest Man In Rock n’ Roll” bicker over a remark Gene made about Adam’s sexuality earlier this year.
