After a special intro from acting vet Samuel L. Jackson, music legend Whitney Houston performed her inspirational comeback track, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength,” featured on the songbird’s seventh album I Look To You, during the 2009 American Music Awards on Sunday night.
Whitney also snagged the coveted International Artist of the Year prize at tonight’s ceremony.

Lady Gaga will host Logo’s NewNowNext PopLab this Monday, Nov. 23.
Gaga already hosted the extension of the network’s successful NewNowNext brand in 2008, and the quirky charttopper will return to the pop music hour next week to promote her forthcoming album, The Fame Monster — in stores Monday.
