U2 and Jay-Z performed “Sunday Bloody Sunday” during a concert in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany on Thursday. U2 performed a free concert in collaboration with MTV Europe Music Awards to help the city celebrate 20 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Britney’s in Sydney — Take cover!

Britney Spears and her entire “Circus Tour” touched down in Australia Thursday morning.

“Longest flight ever but we had a great time,” Britney Tweeted early Thursday. “Really cool plane and the V staff took great care of us. So excited to be here!”

The pop tart will take the stage in nearby Perth for the first of 15 concerts Down Under on Friday. Tickets are going for up to $1,360 for her shows.

Britney’s Australian “Circus” crewreportedly consists of 225 crewmembers, 45 band members and dancers, and 15 circus performers – plus 150 local workers that are hired in each city that the show plays.

In their latest YouTube video, the prisoners at Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in the Phillipines dance to a medly of Queen’s greatest hits!

The idea to have the inmates dance to the hits was createdby Byron Garcia, a Cebu provincial security consultant who sought a way to get the prisoners to participate in the facility’s poorly attended exercise sessions. Their touching tribute to Michael Jackson — choreographed just 10 hours after his death — now has over 4 million views on YouTube.

Rihanna’s ready to return to the stage. The once embattled pop princess will take the stage at the 2009 American Music Awards in her first solo public performance since being assaulted by former flame Chris Brown last February.

The “Russian Roulette” singer joins a hit list of previously announced performers, including Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, and The Black Eyed Peas.

Rihanna’s AMA return will come one day before the release of the pop diva’s fourth album, Rated R.

The 2009 American Music Awards will air Nov. 22 @ 8PM on ABC.
