The country crooner, who was the subject of Taylor’s debut single, has some harsh words for the hip-hop heavyweight in an episode of CMT Insider, airing this Saturday, Sept. 19.

“He shows himself to be an idiot every time he does stuff like that,” Tim says, adding that Kanye’s ill-mannered outburst served as a learning lesson for daughters Gracie, 12, Maggie, 11, and Audrey, 7. “[My girls] were upset. But what he did do is provide a great example of how not to be, and my girls learned a big lesson.”

He added, “When they weren’t looking I said, “He needs an a– whoopin’!”

Tim McGraw has backed out of his scheduled performance at Sunday night’s 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed.

A publicist for the country superstar tells EW that “due to a disagreement with show producers Tim’s manager has pulled him from the show.”

Reba McEntire will host the 2009 ACM’s, airing live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Other entertainers slated to perform on tonight’s show include Miley Cyrus, Lady Antebellum, and Lee Ann Womack.

Tim had wreck shop on some drunken bozo who was trying to manhandle a young woman in the audience at an Auburn, Washington concert on Wednesday night. Like a true Southern gentlemen, Tim demanded the man be brought on-stage before having him ejected from the event with a through tongue-lashing.

A rep for the country star says: “While Tim was performing at the White River Amphitheater in Auburn, Washington last night, he watched a man rush to the front of the stage. This overly aggressive fan attacked a female fan and Tim witnessed this incident. Tim called for security, but when they could not respond quick enough, Tim and several crew members removed the fan from the audience where he was then turned over to the local authorities.”
