“Sesame Street” Spoofs “Spider-Man” Musical
Dissed by the puppets!
Sesame Street takes a dig at the accident-prone Spider-Man musical in Spider-Monster: The Musical, the public television classic’s hilarious new spoof of the Broadway show. Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark (or Someone Dial 911!, depending on who’s telling the story…) is the most expensive production ever to hit the Great White Way, but the show has seen its director ousted and several of its stars injured since previews began last winter.
Grover and the Gang make use of Spidey’s troubled history on stage in the side-splitting parody that already has Sesame Street fans young and old in stitches. We can’t wait to see more of Grover as Spider-Monster when Sesame Street returns for a 42nd season in September.
Oh Look — It’s “Ghost: The Musical”
We’re getting our first look at Ghost — the 1990 romantic drama starring Demi Moore and late actor Patrick Swayze — being revived in the form of a stage musical.
