The fifty contestants vying for the lead role in the Broadway production of Legally Blonde The Musical as part of a new MTV reality series stormed the Big Apple on Thursday. This summer, the girls will battle it out on MTV for the honor to replace Tony-winning actress Laura Bell Bundy as Elle Woods in the Broadway production of Legally Blonde. The legion of blonde bombshells and their pastel pink double decker bus will be popping up in all five boroughs as they tour New York City today. Brit’s the “one that they want.” Britney Spears is being considered for the lead role in the Broadway musical Grease. Producers are hoping to sign the singing star for a new production of the show and the “Gimme More” singer could be stepping into the part of Sandy - the prim and proper blonde schoolgirl originally played by actress Olivia Newton John in the 1978 movie musical.
