He’s back, Jay Leno has hosted his first show in late-night since Conan O’Brien’s departure from NBC late last month. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno relaunched Monday night with a visit from Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, a tongue-lashing from Betty White, and the still-embattled Leno channeling Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
Leno started Monday’s show by spoofing the end of the cinema classic, where Dorothy awakens to find all those crazy goings-on were only a dream: “I went away to the strangest place. It was wonderful, but some of it wasn’t so nice.”

Jay Leno returns to the nation’s TV screens on Monday night. Leno will be reclaiming his old job at NBC’s Tonight Show just nine months after turning the show over to the now unemployed Conan O’Brien, and only 19 days after NBC pulled the plug on Jay’s ill-fated primetime reality show.

Jay Leno returns as host of NBC’s The Tonight Show on March 1 and fans are in for a star-studded lineup of athletes, reality stars, and screen stunners during Leno’s first two weeks back in business.
Fans of ousted late-night host Conan O’Brien are hopping mad about the new “Get Back To Where I Once Belonged” promo toting Jay Leno’s return to The Tonight Show. In the ad, Hollywood’s biggest chin breezes down a winding road in one of his antique cars, smiling, in what seems to be a dig at the redhead comic affectionately known as Coco.
Team Conan promptly devised a defense to and ultimately struck back with a parody of the ad (Featured Above). Check out the original below:
