Reality spouses Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag appeared on The Insider Tuesday to hawk How To Be Famous, their new how-to-guide featuring everything you need to know to ace Attention Whoring 101. Instead, Spencer’s recent derogatory Twitter Blitz on poor Al Roker became the main topic of discussion for the show’s panel — and boy did it spark a spirited debate.

In the end, Spencer did a “live Tweet” apologizing to The TODAY Show “weatherman,” but not before being chided on national television for nearly 10 minutes!

In case you haven’t had enough of Speidi, there could be more lovey-dovey TV coming your way. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are pitching a show about what else? Themselves.

Pratt, 26, and Montag, 23, are shopping a reality show to different television networks based on their “everyday lives.” “You don’t get to see our everyday lives and what we do,” Heidi told The Associated Press Monday. But don’t worry, Heidi and manbag will still be around for plenty of tomfoolery every Monday night on MTV’s The Hills while filming their own series.

The reality couple you love to hate are currently promoting their new book, How To Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture.

Speidi’s been dissed by TODAY! Terrible twosome Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag were cut from an appearance promoting the release of their new book, How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture, on The TODAY Show Monday.

“Due to a change in the show’s schedule, we had to cancel the interview with Spencer and Heidi Pratt,” a rep for the morning show said.

The appearance with TODAY meterologist Al Roker would have been the reality couple’s first on TODAY since they pair famously sparred with Roker on the program last June.

Stephanie Pratt pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor DUI in court on Friday. Pratt, 23, was arrested in October after celebrating Holly Montag’s birthday at Empire in Hollywood. The star of MTV’s The Hills will enroll in a 30-day residential rehab facility.

This is not the socialite’s first scrap with the law. In 2006, Stephanie — who revealed her battle with bulima earlier this year — was arrested for shoplifting from a Neiman Marcus in Honolulu, where she was working as a production assistant on the set of Lost.

If convicted, Stephanie faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Spencer & Heidi Write The Book On “How To Be Famous….”

Spencer and Heidi Pratt are infiltrating the world of publishing. That’s right, reality TV’s most annoying twosome have a page-turner on the way.

How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture, expected to be released later this month, will share lessons the famous for absolutely nothingcouple has learned during their travels through the celebrity world.

With chapter titles like “Pretty on the Outside” and “The Paps Are Your Friends,” it appears we’re all in for a laugh.

“We co-wrote this book,” Heidi explained in June. “It’s going to be a life-changing book to civilization.”

Spencer chimed in: “It’s a ‘How To’ guide, something that Heidi and I specialize in. We’ve been working on this book for the last two years, you know, all of our strategies and things that we have learned through the ropes of — let’s say — pop culture.”

Although reps for the reality couple deny it, the blogosphere is aflutter with whispers that The Hills’ Heidi Montag and hubby Spencer Pratt were no-shows at Holly Montag’s 26th birthday party last weekend… not because they had other plans… not even because there’s bad blood between the Montag sisters, but because “Heidi only goes places if she is getting paid.”

An insider told FOX News this week: “Holly was really wishing that her sister could just be a sister and stop by her birthday party… I mean, this is her sister and she wouldn’t even show up without a fee. That’s disgusting.”

Stephanie Pratt Arrested For DUI

Stephanie Pratt — castmember on MTV’s The Hills and sister of reality villain Spencer Pratt — was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, PEOPLE has confirmed.

According to LAPD officials, Stephanie was arrested at 3:45 a.m. in Hollywood and charged with a misdemeanor. “It was your basic DUI. Our traffic officers driving down the street spotted her and pulled her over,” Sgt. Sal Ogaz told PEOPLE.com. “She was cooperative and there were no issues with her arrest.”

On Saturday night, the star Tweeted that she was heading for fellow Hills star Holly Montag’s birthday party at Los Angeles hotspot Empire.

Her tweet read, “It’s my sissy @hollymontags b-day party! Just finished dinner and going to Empire but I’m pretty tired, a.k.a. yes, I am the party pooper.”

Stephanie and Holly left the club at 2 AM and headed for Beso, where they stayed another hour before calling it a night.

Airport Security Has No Idea Who Brody Jenner Is

Appearing on MTV reality shows doesn’t make you famous — Brody Jenner learned that lesson that hard way while manuvering through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Sept. 27.

Brody — who is featured on the MTV reality drama The Hills — didn’t want to be pestered by squealing fans as he tried to board his flight, but received a rude awakening when he requested an escort from LAX security.

A spywitness tells Star: “Brody asked security to escort him to the gate. He didn’t want to be bothered by fans…But he was left to walk to his gate alone when none of the staff knew who he was!”
