On Wednesday, The CW picked up two of its freshman series for a full season: Vampire Diaries, the network’s top-rated series this fall; and the revamped Melrose Place, which is expected to draw a larger audience when original series star Heather Locklear returns for a multi-episode guest arc next month.

The CW has landed a real-life supermodel for their new fashion drama, A Beautiful Life.
TV Guide is reporting that Australian modeling legend Elle Macpherson has been cast in a recurring role as retired supermodel Claudia, who is now the iron-fisted owner of a top agency, on the show premiering this Fall.
High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu is also up for a role on A Beautiful Life, which will feature actress Mischa Barton.
