The Biggest Loser’s Rebecca Meyer is romancing fellow contestant North Carolina student Daniel Wright, 20. The 25-year-old student from Des Moines, Iowa — who was eliminated from the NBC weight loss challenge this week –revealed her newfound romance with “best friend” Daniel during an appearance on The Jay Leno Show Tuesday.
“Daniel was my best friend, is my best friend, and after leaving the show we talked for, like, five, six-hour conversations and then… he told me he had feelings,” she explained. “Daniel and I have gone through the same thing. I mean, he’s gone through an even more intense version of it, and I fell in love with my best friend.”
Jillian Michaels is taking a leave of absence from the The Biggest Loser ranch and hitting the road to show overweight Americans how to lose that belly fat in her new upcoming reality spinoff, Losing It With Jillian. Losing It With Jillian, an eight-episode series slated for premiere in 2010, features Jillian traveling the country, living with families for a whole week and thoroughly examining the choices they’ve fitness and nutritional choices they’ve made. In each episode, the no-nonsense trainer on NBC’s hit weight loss series will move into the family’s home and overhaul their lives with an full lifestyle makeover, Jillian, 35, tells The Hollywood Reporter.
“In a way, it’s a response to the comments we always get on Loser,” she explains. “We always hear, ‘It’s so easy to lose weight when you move into the camp and you’re living with trainers’ and ‘Would they really be able to lose the weight if there wasn’t money on the line?’”
Last week, Helen Phillips, a 48-year-old retired retail manager from Sterling Heights, MI, was crowned champion of The Biggest Loser: Couples — and now 140 pounds lighter, the mother of three is showing off her thinner frame in a new ad for the Got Milk? nutritional campaign.
Helen’s journey took her from 257 pounds down to 117 pounds.

Helen lost 54.47 percent of her weight, enough to beat Mike Morelli of South Lyon, Michigan, and Tara Costa of New York City on the three-hour finale of The Biggest Loser: Couples, broadcast live from Hollywood on Tuesday night.
“It’s such a transformation for me. I feel so healthy. I feel like I’ve gotten my life back. I feel 30 years old again,” Helen exclaimed to TODAY’s Al Roker on Wednesday morning.
Helen Phillips, a 48-year-old mother of three, nudged out Mike Morelli (at 18 the youngest player in the show’s history) and former model Tara Costa on the live Holllywood finale of The Biggest Loser: Couples.
Helen won the title of “Biggest Loser” and the $250,000 grand prize by losing the highest percentage of starting body-weight.
Helen who entered the competition at 257 pounds, shed 140 to finish out at 117 pounds — cutting 54.47% of her weight. Mike lost 53.35% of his beginning weight, 388 pounds, and ended up at a healthy 181 pounds. At the start of the competition, Tara was tipping the scales at 294 pounds, she’s now feeling good at 139 pounds.
Jerry, who at 64 was the oldest contestant to ever compete on the show, became the show’s At Home Winner, earning $100,00, despite going home in Week 2.

Ali became the first woman to win The Biggest Loser 5 on Tuesday night. The thirty-two year old from Mesa, Arizona resident a $250,000 grand prize along with her new title. After entering the competition at 234 pounds, Ali dropped 112 pounds over the six-month competition, and currently weighs in at a trim 122 pounds.
“I gave it everything I had and then some,” Ali says.
