The wonderful thing about reality TV — besides Kim Kardashians “assets” of course — is that even when fate leaves you the “owner of a lonely heart,” another shot at love is just a casting call away.

Case in point: Ben Flajnik walked away from the last season of The Bachelorette broken-hearted after meek dental student Ashley Hebert rejected his proposal and rode off in to the sunset with New York construction manager JP Rosenbaum. But he’s getting a chance to find love again. On Tuesday, ABC confirmed one of the worst kept secrets on the blogosphere when it unveiled Flajnik as the newest star of The Bachelor.
