Despite losing his first major record contract due to slack album sales, American Idol Season 5 champ Taylor Hicks isn’t giving up on his need to sing.

The gray-headed crooner is back on the scene with a new music video, titled “What’s Right Is Right.”

Taylor Hicks, winner of last season’s American Idol has agreed to settle a lawsuit he’s filed against a Nashville producer who apparently sold his songs he’d recorded prior to his American Idol victory.

Court documents filed Tuesday in a federal court explain Hicks now owns all the rights to the master recordings of his songs, which have been for sale on iTunes recently.

In exchange for the ownership rights, Hicks agreed with producer William Smith not to pursue any further legal action against him.
