Award-winning singer/songwriter Kara DioGuardi has been fired from judging panel of American Idol as part of producers’ ongoing cast shakeup and just hours after talk show hostess Ellen DeGeneres announced her departure from the series after just one season.
DioGuardi, 39, will be replaced by Aerosmith rocker and repeat rehabber Steven Tyler, TMZ snoops said Friday.
According to online gossips, FOX and Idol producers have finalized deals to have Tyler and pop star Jennifer Lopez join lone original A.I. judge Randy Jackson at the table when Idol returns for its 10th season in Jan. 2011.

After wrapping up his umpteenth trip to rehab earlier this year, Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler made his official return to public life on Sunday night when he sang “God Bless America” at the Boston Red Sox home opener against World Series champs the New York Yankees.
The hometown hero was joined by his daughter Chelsea as he belted out the anthem during the game’s seventh inning. It marked Tyler’s first stage appearance since checking out of rehab for an addiction to painkillers — which is good news for Aerosmith fans in Europe and South America; the star will almost certainly be joining his bandmates on a tour of the continents this summer.
Looks like Steven Tyler is “walking this way” with Aerosmith once again.
“I auditioned and I got the gig,” Tyler joked in a video message posted to the band’s website on Thursday.
The rehab-prone frontman and his frustrated bandmates have settled their widely-publicized feud over guitarist Joe Perry’s plans to banish Tyler from the band following his latest trip to drug treatment. Aerosmith had been in limbo since Steven fell off a stage during a concert last August, injuring himself and forcing the band to cancel the rest of their summer tour. Today, the rock legends are so cozy, they’re planning a summer tour of Europe for later this year.

Lawyers for rock icon Steven Tyler have contacted Aerosmith’s manager threatening legal action if the band moves forward with plans to replace its longtime band frontman, who is currently undergoing treatment for dependency on prescription drugs, Rolling Stone has learned.
Attention Home Depot Shoppers: Former Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is dealing with being booted from his band and landing in rehab by rockin’ out randomly in hardware stores.
Tyler reportedly treated shoppers at a Rancho Mirage, California Home Depot to a mini concert over the store’s loudspeaker last weekend. According to TMZ, the rocker belted out portions of two Aerosmith hits, “Dude Looks Like a Lady” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” Steven just grabbed a microphone and broke out into song, spywitnesses say. The odd display continued when the rock legend continued to sing Bee Gees-style – while inhaling helium and signed autographs for confused fans.
