Just hours after Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson both tragically passed away last Thursday, the web went crazy with reports that ’80s “It” actor Jeff Goldblum had stumbled off a cliff, falling to his death, while filming a movie in New Zealand.

It was all just one big hoax — and the very much alive Jeff couldn’t resist poking fun at the situation on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report Monday night.

At the urging of President Barack Obama, comedian Stephen Colbert, of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, showed his solidarity with U.S. troops by allowing a U.S. four star general to shave his head during a visit to Iraq this week.

Last week, the comedic political pundit took his Comedy Central series, The Colbert Report, to the Middle East, for four tapings from the marble hall at Saddam Hussein’s former Al Faw Palace.

“By the power vested in me by basic cable, I officially declare we have won the Iraq war!” the mock pundit joked before a cheering crowd of about 300 U.S. servicemembers who gathered in Iraq on Sunday for the taping.

The Colbert Report — Live From Iraq — will air Monday through Thursday of next week @ 11:30 PM EDT on Comedy Central.

Stephen Colbert is taking his Comedy Central show on the road. According to The NY Post, The Colbert Report will begin shooting a special series of episodes in the war-torn nation of Iraq “sometime in late spring.”

“He will entertain the troops and do his shows from there, which will be shown in the States,” says a source.

It looks like Stephen Colbert and his now album did, in fact, “humble” Kanye West.

“There is only one way to stop Kanye West’s arrogance, and that’s with Stephen’s arrogance.”
