Disney: “Star Wars” Becomes Summer Ritual in 2015

Did you hear? During a presentation at the movie theater convention CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Disney Pictures president Alan Horn announced that a new Star Wars film will be released every summer over a period of several years starting in 2015.

The marathon of sci-fi features will kick off with the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Wars: Episode VII.

Disney first announced plans to reboot the Star Wars franchise after purchasing Lucasfilm Ltd. last year.

George Lucas to donate entire $4 Billion paycheck to Education Foundation

May the force be with you George!

George Lucas, the sole creator/inventor of the Star Wars franchise sold his beloved LucasFilms to the Walt Disney World company earlier this week. Disney buys LucasFilm for $4 Billion; Plans Star Wars Episode 7 for 2015 Release Date

Could this be a sign for Disney-diehards that Walt Disney World will soon be featuring a very large ‘Star Wars’ area of the parks?

Disney announced today that they have purchased LucasFilm, for a cool $4 billion today. “Lucasfilm reflects the extraordinary passion, vision, and storytelling of its founder, George Lucas,” said Robert A.
