Did you hear? During a presentation at the movie theater convention CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Disney Pictures president Alan Horn announced that a new Star Wars film will be released every summer over a period of several years starting in 2015.
The marathon of sci-fi features will kick off with the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Wars: Episode VII.
Disney first announced plans to reboot the Star Wars franchise after purchasing Lucasfilm Ltd. last year.

George Lucas, the sole creator/inventor of the Star Wars franchise sold his beloved LucasFilms to the Walt Disney World company earlier this week.
