‘South Park’ Renewed Through 20th Season

So much for those South Park cancellation rumors: The controversial cartoon — which wrapped up its 15th season Wednesday with an equally-controversial episode inspired by the Penn State Sex Abuse Scandal — will remain on the tube until at least 2016, taking the program to the end of its 20th season.

Twentieth season?! Didn’t South Park premiere, like, last year?

Too soon?

The team at Spirit Airlines aren’t the only folks getting an earlier start on reveling in Arnold and Maria’s maid-driven marriage breakdown. Wednesday night’s installment of Comedy Central’s longrunning animated comedy South Park spoofed Arnold Schwarzenegger’s juicy affair — barely three days after the former California governor copped to knocking up his mistress housekeeper and his wife, former journalist Maria Shriver, within weeks of one another back in 1997. The episode’s opening scene depicted delightfully naive schoolboy Butters confusing the plot of Terminator 5 with the news that Arnie fathered a love child, and mistaking Maria for Skeletor.
