Michaela Watkins may be gone, but Saturday Night Live’s fourth-hour spoof of The TODAY Show’s Hoda and Kathie Lee lives on. Series newcomer Jenny Slate took over as Hoda Kotb on this weekend’s January Jones-hosted edition of the long-running sketch comedy show.

Shakira isn’t seeing red after being poked fun at by country-pop rocker Taylor Swift on last weekend’s Saturday Night Live.

The Colombian with the most famous hips in music celebrated the release of her new album, She Wolf, at a Rolling Stone party in New York Monday and couldn’t stop laughing after Access Hollywood played her the clip of Taylor impersonating the Latin pop tart’s signature moves for SNL’s “Bunny Business” skit.

“That’s crazy,” Shakira said. “I feel flattered. I love Taylor,” the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer added. “I think she’s awesome. She’s beautiful and a great talent and that is just really, really funny.”

Taylor Swift is the host and musical guest on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live — and she hasn’t forgotten the infamous mic-snitching that left her publicly humiliated at the MTV Video Music Awards last summer.

In a promo that began airing Tuesday, the global music sensation and SNL cast member Bill Hader poke fun at the notorious incident and controversial rap star Kanye West. Taylor announces she will be on the sketch show this weekend while Hader stands by her side on the phone. He gets off his cell and says, “Whoops, Kanye West just called. He thinks Beyoncé should host instead.”

This could get ugly: Sparks could fly if Taylor Swift is reunited with nemesis Kanye West on Saturday Night Live.

We hear producers of the long-running sketch-comedy series are frantically trying to book a “surprise” cameo from Kanye when Taylor hosts the show next month.

Yeah, that’s a great plan — give ole Motormouth yet another opportunity to upstage this poor chile.

The 19-year-old, who performed on the sketch comedy series in January, will be hosting for the first time, and she’s already got a few idea.

Tracy Morgan is bringing his no-holds barred approach to comedy to the pages of a new autobiography. In his tell-all book I Am the New Black, in stores Oct. 20, the Emmy-nominated 30 Rock star fires off at former Saturday Night Live co-stars Chris Kattan and Cheri Oteri.

SNL’s “Dominican Lou” writes: “I had my finger on the pulse of urban comedy, but when I brought my act to SNL, those motherf***** just felt bad for me…..None of the cast I came up with saw this future for me. No, sir. All I have to say about that is, where’s Chris Kattan now? Where’s Cheri Oteri now? That bitch can’t even get arrested.”

After fourteen seasons, comedian Darrell Hammond has announced his retirement from Saturday Night Live.

Lady Gaga, music’s most eccentric fashion nightmare since Macy Gray, made her inaugural appearance (I think….) on Saturday Nigh Live this weekend. The VMA-winning NYC native was back in the Big Apple to perform “Just Dance,” “Paparazzi,” and a medley of her other hits on the Oct. 3 episode of NBC’s long-running sketch comedy series.

The second episode of the 35th season of Saturday Night Live proved a star-studded affiar with Ryan Reynolds guest hosting and his wife Scarlett Johansson stopping by to play his spouse in a skit about a family porcelain fountain firm.

Madonna and Lady Gaga faced off in a staged catfight on live TV.

The pair of pop divas performed a synchronised dance-off, dressed in matching black lingerie and knee-high boots, as part of a skit on Saturday Night Live this week — hosted by Ryan Reynolds — which was called to a halt when Madonna started pulling Gaga’s wig and throttling her, yelling, “What the hell is a disco stick?” – referring to the younger star’s hit single “Love Game.”

The feuding pair had to be separated by the host of the fictitious MTV show Deep House Dish!
