Sheryl Crow’s first holiday album will go on sale exclusively at Hallmark Gold this September. The still-untitled project will feature re-recordings of Christmas classics like “White Christmas” “O Holy Night.”
“I had been wanting to do this for a while, so when the opportunity came up I just kind of jumped at it,” Sheryl says in this week’s edition of Billboard Magazine. “I love Christmas music; every year we have this ritual after the Christmas Eve service, 40 or 50 people come over to the house and we play Christmas music. We pretty much rely on the same Christmas music every year, and every year I’ve said, ‘I’m gonna make some Christmas music of my own.’”

Sheryl Crow plans to launch a clothing line in 2009. The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter’s collection will include jeans, vintage tees, and vests made of eco-friendly fabrics. A portion of the proceeds for the sale of the items will go to charity.
“She’s incredibly excited,” a pal tells Star. “She’s heading to Australia in October to meet with her partners and start production.”
